柳田國男の生家のすぐ近くに位置し、静かな雰囲気が漂う神社です。境内には天然記念物に指定されている樹齢1000年の大きなヤマモモの巨樹があり、柳田國男が幼少期に遊んだ場所としても知られています。本殿の左手には別の神社も祀られており、紅葉の季節には美しい景観が期待できます。
