建長寺派の立派な寺院で、建物は重厚な造りとなっており、境内や中庭は広々としています。多摩川の近くに位置するため、川からの風や対岸の山々の景色を眺めながら気持ちよく参拝できます。除夜の鐘の際には、甘酒やお菓子、お札が授与されることもあります。
