ひがし茶屋街の丘に位置する、精巧な御朱印で知られるお寺です。本堂には美しい襖絵や水墨画があり、砂踏みなどの参拝の道筋も整備されています。御朱印の直書きは予約制ですが、書置きでの受付も可能です。正面の長い階段や上からのアプローチなど、複数の参拝ルートがあります。
