In 1873 (Meiji 6), it was designated a Kensha (Prefectural Shrine), and in 1940 (Showa 15), it became a Kokubei-Shasha (National Minor Shrine). Currently, it is listed as a Hyakubasho Jinja (Special Shrine) under the Association of Shinto Shrines.
