県道沿いに位置しており、車でのアクセスも良好です。境内にはゲートボール場があり、地域に根ざした雰囲気があります。本堂は比較的新しいですが、広場には何もなく、神仏習合の名残である山王社や、風化の進んだ古い塔婆・五輪塔などの歴史的な遺構も見られます。
