馬の守護神として、亡くなった馬の供養のために建てられた馬力神が祀られています。境内には錆びついた馬蹄がひっそりと供えられており、道標の役割も担っていたことが伺える刻銘があります。国道向かい側には一里塚跡地の碑も建てられています。
