建長寺の境内にある塔頭で、鎌倉三十三観音霊場の第二十九番札所です。一般拝観は制限されていますが、観音巡礼の納経の場合は入山が可能で、御朱印をいただくことができます。山門へは石段を上った先にあり、本堂の外から内部を覗くこともできます。
