川の中に位置する神社で、周囲は豊かな自然に囲まれた静寂な雰囲気です。滝壺や石畳の道など、大自然を感じられる見どころがあります。周辺の道路は狭いため、室生ダム管理所の駐車場から歩いて参拝するのが便利です。足場の悪い山道を歩くこともあるため、歩きやすい靴での訪問が推奨されます。
