本能寺の境内に位置する塔頭で、通常は非公開ですが、門前に案内看板が出ている時のみ拝観や御朱印の授与が行われます。御朱印は参拝のたびに言葉が変わるほか、特別な日に限定されることもあります。本堂では龍の墨の襖絵を拝観でき、丁寧な対応で迎えられる点も特徴です。
