From the second year of Kyoho (1717 CE) onward, it was supported for over 200 years by domain funds as a shrine revered by the feudal lord, and the fixed mon (family crest) of the Ogasawara clan was attached to its buildings. During the Meiji era, it was classified as a Kosha (village shrine), during which time the shrine office was newly constructed and the Heiden (offering hall) was dismantled.
