In 1319 CE (En'ō 1), five additional deities, including Kunitokotachi-no-Mikoto, were jointly enshrined, and the shrine was renamed Sannō-gū. In 1871 CE (Meiji 4), it was renamed Aohata Shrine. It is currently recognized as a component cultural asset of Japan Heritage.
