奈良時代天応2年(782)に琴佩山に御鎮座されたのが始まりとされ、その後、鷹降山、小倉野を経て正保4年(1647)に現在の二堂山へ御遷座されました。古くから北陸道往来の人々に詣でられた古社であり、歴史を遠く遡る事1200有余年の歴史を持ちます。
