Azbuhikawa Shrine

A shrine enshrining Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Inada-hime-no-Mikoto, and Ōkuninushi-no-Mikoto. It is a deity of protection against misfortune and epidemic diseases, and a warrior deity known for slaying the eight-headed serpent Yamata no Orochi, serving as the center of Gion faith.

Located in an upscale residential area in the city center, the shrine sits on high ground, offering a quiet atmosphere with a sense of open sky within the grounds. The surrounding area is peaceful, allowing for a calm visit in the clear air, especially in the morning. There are several types of Goshuin (shrine seal stamps) available, most of which can be obtained by signing the register. It is accessible on foot from Roppongi Station or Azabu-Juban Station, but no parking lot is visible nearby.
