History
Until the Edo period, it was known as Rokusho Daimyojin and served as the tutelary shrine of Yasui Village. There are theories that it was relocated to its current site in 1584 (Tensho 12) by order of Oda Nobuyasu, or that it had existed in the vicinity since ancient times. It was renamed Bekoe Shrine in the early Meiji period. Although it was destroyed in an air raid in 1945, it was restored in 1966.
