Chin Shrine serves as the guardian deity of the former Narai Village. It is said that Nakahara Kanenaru originally established it at Toriizaka Pass, but after it was destroyed by fire during a war, Narai Yoshitaka relocated it to its current site. The main hall (honden) was constructed in 1664 CE (Kanbun 4) by the master carpenter Tanaka Shozaburo Shigefusa.
