History
天正二年の一向一揆で焼亡した永平寺の跡地に、一九世祚玖が建立した「新永平寺」が起源です。織田信長による一揆平定後、新永平寺は祚玖の弟子祚天に与えられ、北庄城の鬼門鎮護として鎮徳寺と改称されました。松平家からは寺地門前民屋の諸役免除の御朱印を与えられています。
