History
Founded in 1673 CE (Kanbun 13) by Tokushin Dokuu, it is a branch temple of Manpuku-ji in Kyoto. Kogen-in, the daughter of the fourth Morioka Domain lord, Nanbu Yukishin, converted to the Obaku sect and, by her will, was buried at this temple. Additionally, Takechi Hanamoto, the 19th Prime Minister, is also buried here.
