Subsequently, it received transfers of Toyuke Daijin and Amaterasu Daijin from Ise Jingu, and Gozu Tenno from Gion Shrine in Kyoto. It was revered as the guardian deity of Minami-Shinagawa and received the devotion of many warrior families. In 1875 (Meiji 8), it was renamed Ebara Shrine, adopting the name of the Ebara District.
