During the Meiji era, Takemikazuchi-no-Kami (the deity of thunder and war) was co-enshrined from Suwa Shrine. Due to a fire in 1876 CE (Meiji 9) that destroyed the shrine buildings and historical documents, the current historical records are based on available literary materials.
