History
Founded in 1626 by Shonin Jiko of Shoren-sha, also known as Soen. After the Meireki Fire, the temple relocated to Shin-Torikoshi. In 1887 (Meiji 20), it became a branch temple of Zojo-ji. Following the destruction of its buildings in the Great Kanto Earthquake, the temple moved to its current location in 1928.
