名古屋市中村区岩塚町郷中99
Also known as Wakamiya Hachiman Shrine, this shrine was once called the Forest of Darkness (Yami no Mori) because the forest surrounding it was so dense that even moonlight could not penetrate it.

History
It is said that Minamoto no Tameyoshi enshrined the deity from Ishizumi Hachiman Grand Shrine during the Chōkan period (1163–1165 CE). The shrine was later renovated during the Muromachi period and has been deeply revered by successive lords of the Owari Domain, including Oda Nobuhide (father of Oda Nobunaga) and Tokugawa Yoshinao. During the Meiji period, Tokugawa Yoshimitsu oversaw the construction of stone walls.
