History
According to shrine tradition, its origins date back to the Heian period when the warrior Minamoto no Yoshinaka erected a temporary shrine to pray for victory in battle. The shrine buildings collapsed during the Great Earthquake of 1948 but were rebuilt over five years with the cooperation of local parishioners. In 1962, it became a branch shrine receiving a divided spirit from Ishizuchi Hachimangu.
