History
The founding date is unknown. It was historically known as Roshoku Gongen, but was renamed Yutani Shrine after the Meiji Restoration. It enshrines the ancestral deity of Izumo, Ōnagiatsumi-no-Mikoto (Ōnagiatsumi), and later had Mizumon-no-Kami and Ukehiru-no-Kami enshrined alongside it. During the Edo period, the shrine buildings were rebuilt and repaired by the Maibara and Ii clans.
