History

It served as the shrine of the Iwase Chingunfu (Iwase Garrison) while inheriting the faith of the Hidakami region, and received reverence from figures such as the Minamoto father and son, Yoshii and Yoshitane, as well as Date Masamune. In 1632 CE (Kan'ei 9), it was reconstructed by Rōzu Munetoshi, and its main hall (honden) is currently designated as an Important Cultural Property.
