This shrine enshrines Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami (Okunin-sama), the deity of five grains and food. Known for bringing prosperity in business and industry, it has branch shrines throughout Japan.

The shrine grounds are meticulously cleaned and well-maintained. There are benches near the entrance, as well as Buddha footprint stones (Buzokuseki) installed for those with weak legs or knees. A wisteria trellis offers beautiful seasonal scenery, and the main hall of Nomiyama Kannon-ji Temple is located directly opposite.
