History
天文6年（1537）に地頭の大石源左衛門定久が出家し、娘の向西尼とともに「向西庵」を創始した。その後、慶長年間に名主の佐藤対馬が開基し、現在の場所へ「宝光寺」として移転した。慶安2年（1649）には寺領の御朱印状を受領している。
