Isesaki Shrine

It is said that the shrine was founded by Miura Yoshizumi in Kenpo 1 (1213 CE). From the Edo period onward, local lords were responsible for repairing the shrine buildings and conducting festivals. In Meiwa 9 (1772 CE), the shrine received the posthumous rank of Shichi-i from the Yoshida school. In 1926, it merged with nearby Inari shrines and changed its name from Iifuku Shrine to Isesaki Shrine.
