In the third month of the thirteenth year of the Kyōhō era (1728 CE), Uemura Tosa-no-kami Masatomo enshrined the deity from Fushimi. It was recognized as a public shrine in the thirteenth year of the Meiji era (1880 CE) and received certification as a religious corporation shrine in June of the twenty-first year of the Shōwa era (1946 CE).
