A temple of the Shingon Toyoshu sect located in Katsushika Ward, Tokyo. It is also known by the alternate name Hojo-ji (Treasure Repository Temple).
History
The exact date of its founding is unknown, but it is believed to have existed in the early Edo period. It was revived in 1680 by the priest Kenjo Ho-in. Following the Meiji era, the temple suffered from repeated floods. The main hall and the monks' quarters were rebuilt in 1926, and the current main hall was newly constructed in 1965.
