A temple of the Jisan school of Shingon Buddhism located in Ota Ward, Tokyo. It is also the 78th station of the Tamagawa 88 Pilgrimage and the 25th station of the Tokai 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.
History
The temple was founded in the late Heian period by the monk Jisei. It was later revived by Ema. Due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism policies during the Meiji era, the Goshu Tenno Shrine located within the temple grounds was separated and became independent as Haneda Shrine.
