History
Originally built along the western side of Hayashi Castle in Hayashi Village, Koma District, Shinano Province. It converted to the Jodo-shu sect in the 14th century. Near the end of the Sengoku (Warring States) period, it was relocated to near its current site by order of Ishikawa Kazumasa. The temple was abolished in the 5th year of Meiji (1872 CE) but was later revived.
