This Nichiren sect temple was founded in 1313 CE (Showa 2) by Nichihan Shonin. The main hall was relocated from Myohouji Temple in Nagoshi in 1886. Inside the hall, statues of Nichiren Shonin and Nichihan Shonin, the founder, are enshrined. Additionally, the temple grounds have a history of sheltering Hiroki Matsunosuke, a samurai from Mito, and his grave is also located here.
