History
The shrine was founded in 1913 (Taisho 2) when a branch spirit from Hayaboshi Shrine in Toyama Prefecture was enshrined, following the arrival of pioneering settlers in 1907 (Meiji 40). It received permission to establish as a Mukasheka (unranked shrine) in 1937 (Showa 12) and was promoted to a Sonja (village shrine) in 1942 (Showa 17). The current main hall, built in the Shinmei-zukuri architectural style, was completed in 1979 (Showa 54). Renovations to the approach path and shrine office have continued since the Heisei era.
