Located in a quiet residential area within walking distance from Gifu Station, this shrine has a solemn atmosphere with well-maintained grounds and a stately worship hall (haiden). It enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, known as the deity of learning, and attracts many visitors praying for success in exams. The shrine office offers pre-written Goshuin (calligraphic seal stamps) in various styles.
