History
In 1732 CE (Kyoho 17), the daughter of Kameyama Hanbee from Koyana Village, known as Kaigaku Rishunni, relocated the three statues of the Amida Hall to the current site and established the temple by inviting Enju Ryukai, the third abbot of Entonji, as the founding master. In the early Edo period, an Amida Hall enshrining Amida Nyorai, Yakushi Nyorai, and Koshin existed in Koyana.
