History
The temple was founded in 1610 CE (Keicho 15). It was completely destroyed by a fire during the Jōkyō period (1684-1688) but was rebuilt during the Genroku period (1688-1704). Subsequently, the mountain gate was constructed in 1766 CE (Meiwa 3), and the bell tower was built in 1777 CE (An'ei 6).
