History
According to shrine tradition, it was founded in 733 CE (Tenpyo 5). After a fire in the Bunmei 8 era, it was moved to its current location in 1604 CE (Keicho 9) by Mori Tadayasu and became the general guardian shrine of the Tsuyama Castle town. The current shrine buildings were reconstructed in 1664 CE (Kanbun 4) by Mori Nagatsugu, the second daimyo of the domain.
