In September of the sixth year of the Meiji era (1873 CE), it merged with the Shirota Shrine in Shiouji and the Shirota Shrine in Ono, both in Yakushidani Village, and was renamed Mizubun Shrine. The main hall (honden) was newly constructed in November of the eleventh year of the Taisho era (1922 CE).
