History
In 1332 CE (Shokei 1), the Hokkedo Hall was established by Myoryu-in Nichi-sei at the request of Oba Choman, the lord of Fukagawa Castle. In 1344 CE (Kokoku 5), the temple was renamed Nagatsuki-ji. It is one of the three major temples of the Rokujomon-ryu lineage of the Nichiren sect and also serves as the head temple (engashu) of the Yogi-ji dharma connection.
