History
The date of founding is unknown, but until the era of Yura Castle Lord Ikeda Tadanaga, it was enshrined in the mountains of Inui. It was relocated to the Naruyama site as the guardian deity of Tadanaga Castle, and the shrine buildings were rebuilt in 1684 CE (Jōkyō 1). It was moved to the summit of Kojōyama Mountain in 1890 CE (Meiji 23), and Sumiyoshi Shrine was merged into it in 1912 CE (Meiji 45).
