History

During the Edo period, it served as the protective deity of Nishi-Arai Village. In 1873 CE (Meiji 6), it was classified as a Mura-sha (village shrine). In 1967 CE (Showa 42), the shrine grounds were renovated, and the orientation of the shrine buildings was changed to face east.
