The shrine's history also includes the donation of shrine lands by Fujiwara no Michitaka and Kobayakawa Takakage. It was designated as a Goja in the early Meiji period and was later designated as a shrine receiving offerings of food and silk (shinsen heiha-ryō) in 1907.
