In the Kamakura period, Ogawa Saemon Sadatsuna repaired the shrine buildings. In 1536 CE (Bunmei 5), it was revived by Ohihata Dansho Masatada, Gojuro Nagamasa. In 1790 CE (Kansei 2), it received a shrine name decree from the Yoshida family and was renamed Ogawa Shrine.
