It was designated a Kenja (prefectural shrine) in 1873 (Meiji 6) and a Kokubei Shasha (minor national shrine) in 1940 (Showa 15). Currently, it is listed as a Hyakka Meiji Shrine under the Association of Shinto Shrines.
