Rikkyobo Saku Betsuin is one of the Takuchubo (monastic quarters) of Oishi-ji, the head temple of Nichiren Shoshu. The Saku Betsuin branch is located in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture.
History
It was established in 1290, concurrently with the founding of Oishi-ji, with Master Nikkichi of Rikkyobo as the founding patron. The temple was destroyed by fire in 1807 but was rebuilt in November of the same year. In 1977, a ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the new main hall, presided over by the 66th High Priest, Nichi-datsu.
