A Tendai sect temple located in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo. Although its buildings were completely destroyed in the air raids of 1945, the main Buddha statue and the memorial register were successfully preserved.
History
1622年に尊祐によって開山された。秋元小兵衛の武家屋敷内に創建されたのが起源であり、後に於大の方の追善供養として土地を与えられた。1675年に輪王寺宮より山号「梅栄山」と寺号「龍泉寺」を授与された。
