History
In 1727 CE (Kyōhō 12), the main hall and other structures were newly built within Takaya Village at the request of Tada Mitsuhide, the Otsu Castle Lord. From 1875 CE (Meiji 8) onward, it was managed through the devotion of the two towns (Nakamachi and Kuriyacho). All structures were destroyed by fire during the war in 1945 CE (Shōwa 20).
