Sakuradani Shrine
福井県福井市開発三丁目
Located in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, this shrine enshrines Oyamatsumi-no-Mikoto (deity of land development and water control) as its main deity, along with deities of water and fire. It holds divine virtues recognized historically when the feudal lord granted it a reward of one thousand steps of horse pasture land. The grounds feature a Chokkonbi (war memorial tablet) and a Kannon-do (Hall of Kannon).

The founding date is unknown, but on July 28, 1913 (Taisho 2), permission was obtained from Fukui Prefecture to merge three shrines located at this site: two Hakusan Shrines and one Hachiman Shrine. Prior to the war, it displayed a plaque designating it as a village-level shrine under Fukui Prefecture regulations. Due to damage sustained during the 1948 Fukui Earthquake (Showa 23) and Typhoon Jane in 1950 (Showa 25), the shrine buildings were reconstructed in October 1983 (Showa 58).
