Sakurayama Hachimangu (Sakurayama Hachiman Grand Shrine)
高山市桜町178
A quiet shrine established in the 5th century, surrounded by trees. It is famous for its festivals and colorful yama (decorated floats).
What visitors say
The shrine grounds, backed by a mountain, have a solemn atmosphere. In autumn, you can enjoy spectacular autumn foliage and wind chime decorations. A hall within the grounds permanently displays the floats from the Takayama Festival, allowing visitors to view the luxurious yama.
