History
In 1902 (Meiji 35), a branch spirit from Sama Oda Shrine, the guardian shrine of Sama District in Fukushima Prefecture, was enshrined here. Approval for the establishment of the shrine was granted in 1908 (Meiji 41). In 1916 (Taisho 5), the shrine relocated to its current site on Amaterasu-yama Hill in Hirakishi. The main hall was reconstructed in 1928 (Showa 3). Restoration work on the shrine buildings was completed in 2007 (Heisei 19), bringing the shrine to its present state.
